How is pay determined for employees at CSC. I started few months ago and heard about pay scale depending on years of experience, education...... Is there any docs I can check somewhere on our intranet to find out?
I asked a project manager about a Labor Category code and she asked me how many years of experience I have and what my degree is. while I was on the phone, she checked somewhere and answered right away. |

Labor Category is determined very strictly by degree and years of experience, but applies only to your eligibility to fill a role stipulated on a government contract. Labor categories are used when recording time for non-gov't projects too, but I suspect CSC isn't as stringent about meeting eligibility requirements on commercial deals.
Pay scale at CSC, to the best of my knowledge, has little or no correlation with labor category/bill rate.
