I work at an internet start up and I was wondering what other HR professionals would suggest is a good bonus for bringing in new employees esp. those in the IT industry. |

taxes for this kind of incentive are so high that the payment should be at least twice as much as the intentional reward. for example - if you are willing to give out a $1000 bonus to an employee for bringing on a new IT person, offer $2000 (at least 50% will be taken out in taxes, leaving employees disgruntled.)
