Hi HR folks. In a new article, Jill Witty discusses some ideas for inexpensive perks that you can offer your employees.
Does anyone have their own, creative ideas for perks? What else can employers do to aid retention?
Sound off!

Coming from the transportation industry, we work with many employers who offer assistance with commuting expenses. This can come in the form of a tax-free transit/vanpool benefit, free carpool matching service, or a bike program. These programs can be as low-cost as the employer needs and can reap additional benefits as an effective parking management tool. In some industries where employers simply cannot get enough qualified employees, companies provide free shuttle service from designated locations (metro stop, bus hub, or center city residential community). The former suggestion is obviously a low cost perk compared to the later, but both can reduce the stress of commuting to/from work, help employees save money, and help employers retain valuable trained staff.
