In Reply To: Six week period of medical disablity with pay followed by a period of unpaid family leave. Really all depends on how your company benefits are set up. What are your elimination periods? Is your STD self funded or are you with an insurance co? What is the company philosophy? Are your employees valuable tech people?or are they more expendable? What can the company afford?
Message: Our company philosophy is making employees happy and creating employee loyalty. Our current plan is 60% to a max of $1000 with an 8th day elimiation period. Our plan is through an insurance company. Howver, we are currently looking into a self-insured plan where we offer 6 weeks of salary continuation at 100% and 66.67% or 60% of salary for the remainder.
