Which school is better in terms of social life, prestige, educational excellence, etc? I'm thinking of going to wall street and the u of C econ department is hard to turn down, but I hear the social scene is better at nwu. What do you all think? |

The two schools are pretty much polar opposites. U of C people are fire-breathing intellectuals while NU students are more pre-professional.
Also, all undergrads at the U of C attend the College, where they share a common curriculum. You'll have Chem & Econ majors in your humanities classes and English majors taking physical science classes alongside the other scientists. At NU, undergrads separate into various schoools, e.g, journalism, engineering, et cetera. You won't likely have as much comingling among different students there.
