NYU is definitely a good school. You'd be hard pressed to find an all-around better arts/drama school--The Tisch School of the Arts--anywhere. The Stern School is one of the top 3 undergrad business programs in the country. And despite what everyone says, this is not the dumping ground for the ivies. I know lots of kids who turned down the ivy league becuase they simply wanted to be in NYC. That's NYU's biggest strength--it's location. Of course, Columbia is in NYC also, but only an idiot would prefer Columbia's neighborhood to NYU's. Maybe Ivy League kids are more booksmart, but NYU kids are street smart--there's a big difference. And we know how to have fun. I'd rather be cool than a dork anyday.
