UW Faculty Senate backs perverted prof |

University of Wisconsin-Madison--Theresa Duello, a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, was awarded back pay and damages in a sex discrimination suit. The jury found she had earned substantially less than men doing similar work at UW and the UW violated the federal Equal Pay Act by underpaying Duello because she was a woman. Duello is also pursuing a Title IX lawsuit. (Ref. The Capitol Times)

The UW Faculty Senate has asked the UW Board of Regents to rescind the firing of a UW faculty member who shared motel rooms with his female graduate students while attending conferences and seminars. The faculty member would wake up inthe middle of the night and start masturbating. Other
inappropriate incidents were cited involing his female graduate students. This is unfortunately typical of UW faulty and administration to protect and go to bat for faculty that blatantly harass UW women staff and students. it is a very hostile environment for women and other minorities.
