Hey gb,
Which department/school are you most
familiar with? I've been both an undergrad
and now a grad here, so I've seen both
sides of the coin.
I'd agree there's a hearty amount of
grade inflation around here, but it
really does vary by department -- rather
dramatically in a few cases. Of course,
it varies a lot by professor too.
Since the grad experience tends to be a
little more limited in scope, I was just
wondering what department(s) in particular
you were talking about.

Hey Stanfordite
I'm in mechanical engineering, where I'm sure the grade inflation isn't as bad as it is in other departments. One of my best friends was an undergrad here during my stay, and I got to visit her dorm, hear lots of details about classes, etc. It seems to me that it's certainly more prevalent in the humanities.
What dept are you in?
