Please, don't fool yourself and don't speak so freely about intellectual capacity. You are a nonwhite (probably black) female, this, of course, means that you are considered underprivaleged and as soon as your application fell in the hands of the Ivy admissions' heart-bleeders, violins began to play and tears began to stream. You probably wrote about how tough it was for you, a "nonwhite female", to get respect in a white male dominated world and how agonizingly difficult it was for you to go on with your everyday life in a racist America.
Don't be naive, the reason you got in was only because you were A NONWHITE FEMALE (maybe with half decent grades). Please don't talk about intellectual capacity because there were at least 10 students with higher iqs, grades and SATs who could have been admitted in your place. But you had an advantage, not that of intellectual capacity, but an advantage of being a nonwhite female. |

Please man,
Get a grip! I am a black female that attends an ivy. I am sorry to inform you, I am one that is far from underpriviledged. Yes I did attend a prodominately white undergraduate college but no one is complaining about it, I did just fine there. In my graduate program, minorities (not just blacks-get that straight)are very well represented. If you think that all minorities, that are in these programs, crediatials are lower than whites you are WRONG! Students of all colors do just as well as their white classmates. Maybe the Truth is hard for YOU to swallow to understand that this is America and there is equal opportunity for everyone. You might want to do your research, real research and find out for yourself.
