I have heard of numerous reports of grade inflation at Stanford. Do they inflate grades at Ivy leage schools also? I go to Cal and can say they are very stingy with A's here. |

Princeton got some bad publicity a year or so ago about its supposed horrendous grade inflation. Fact is, grade inflation has been a trend among ALL the Ivies. Studies shows the there is evidence of grade inflation at other schools, specifically Yale and Harvard, but other schools chose not to do anything about it when it was discovered. Princeton got the publicity because it decided to address it.
You'll find that if one school starts producing students with higher GPA's, peer institutions will find it necessary to do the same. So yes, grade inflation is a phenomenon that is evident among the Ivy institutions.
