My little sister is trying to decide which school should be her top choice. She didn't apply EA to either Princeton or Stanford, so it's coming down to regular admissions. We're from the east coast, and she's visited Princeton many times. Loved Nassau street, even its small-town way. She also plays field hockey and Princeton has a great team. My dad was a Tiger in '66 so there's a good chance she will be accepted (M 680 V 700, GPA 3.9, top boarding school). On the other side--literally--my sister's best friend went to Stanford last year and really loves it. She raves about the academics and the people. The weather helps to Also, the valedictorians from her prep school tend to go to either Stanford or Harvard, never Princeton--because Princeton's academic standing isn't as strong there. In her heart she wants Stanford but I want to be sure it's the best choice for her.I'm not sure how to advise her, so if anyone has any thoughts, let me hear.
