I am a Columbia grad and i agree that NYU is a dumping ground for people who couldn't get into a real school. From my HS, so many average caliber students got into NYU. Indeed NYU offered me full tuition but I didn't care. At Columbia, no one talked about NYU because it was viewed as a joke. But at NYU, many talk about Columbia. Too bad. It's overpriced and full of not very talented dumb kids who have the means...moeover, stern is not that grade. my dumb ass brother goes there and even he thinks the student body there lacks any talent |

Have you read that Wall Street Journal Article about the "New Ivy's"? They list NYU as one of those schools, along with 10 or 15 others.
