Hbomb has a point. Harvard, Princeton, Yale have far better reputations than all the other Ivys. i would add Stanford to the group. There are a few specialized schools which deserve a lot of respect: MIT and CalTech have great technical stuff (and probably teach a lot more than HPY do--which is great if you want to spend 4 years in the lab). U of Chicago is not as tough to get into as HPY but again one would probably learn more--all they do is study. For those who want to have fun, enjoy life, be with bright and ambitious pears and get a great job afterward--Harvard, Princeton, Yale (which btw sucks) and stanford (great weather) are the place to be.
