i have to disagree with the last post...PENN is a great school...the education you get is the same as at every other top ivy, but in addition, we also get to have some fun. if you are going by the usnews rankings, penn is currently 6, tied with stanford and is always moving up. if you base your decision on selectivity, well, penn is at the lower end with regard to admission rates, but i believe wharton specifically is now the single most selective school in the country, maybe 2nd or 3rd behind like cal tech, but more than h/p/y. obviously my point of view is biased, as i go to penn, but i've been to most of the other ivies and have friends at all of them and penn is definitely near the top. |

Penn is a wonderful opportunity to go to an Ivy League University in an urban setting. Academics and extracurriculars are great. The administration of the school is strong. It's a great launcing pad for grad schools. If you get into Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, Duke, MIT, and Penn (or any of those), chose PENN. If you get into Harvard, Yale, Princeton - go to one of them. Rule #1: always choose an Ivy School over a non-Ivy. Don't fall for the b.s. at Duke, Berkeley or MIT. If you want a great college experience with alot of tradition and prestige, always go with the Ivy League.
