But, one point: college is about realtionship exploration. I think a heck of a lot of people have the first serious relationship in college, and all of the repurcussions that that brings, and it's just not easy to have that in a same-sex school (ok, caveat, unless you are attracted to members of your same sex). i just think that while there are benefits to same-sex ed, there are also obvious disadvantages. You grow a lot when you're constantly surrounded by members of the opposite sex. It's worthwhile. |

Alright, one common complaint is that meeting people requires more effort at a single sex school. This is a disadvantage I agree. And most people at my school *do* have boyfriends (haha from MIT...of course) And on the flip side, going to the same school as your ex's or current beaus can often make life uncomfortable. A girl needs breathing room (or at least I do) At some level, it's a benefit to be located "a distance" from those frat boys.
