Hi again.
I am the original poster. I was actually quite interested in the B.S in business economics in Brown's dept of economics which I thought might be quite practical & have more real-life application than its more theoretical B.A in economics.
But it seems like Brown doesn't have a particularly great reputation though the course sounds interesting. Brown is after all Ivy League & its selectivity rate is quite ok. So why does it seem to carry that much slack?

As a recent graduate of a top ten US university going into strategy consulting, here is my opinion:
LSE is a very prestigous school. You might have a small problem regarding recognition in the US, but it would not be prohibitive.
If you really want to trasfer to a US school, decide on one with a similar reputation (ie top 5 - see usnews.com for rankings). Call each school's career center and ask how many recent grads have been hired by top tier Ibanks/Consulting firms. This should help you make up your mind.
In terms of MBA prgrams in the future, I think LSE would help you much more than any US school.
