Message: I agree with the first post on the rankings. Wharton should definantly be #1 because of the strong business focus that basically teaches them every business basic while other big name grads were studying english and sociology. Yeah, they study Economics at the other schools, but we all the know the difference between economics and real-world experience. I don't think many people know it, but upper-level undergrad business courses at Wharton are cross-listed with some of their grad courses. Basically, at Wharton you receive an MBA education you don't have the work experience to be at a high enough productability level right after graduation. MIT almost deserves to share the #1 spot because of their technical emphasis. They learn real skills they can apply to the job. Michigan has a great business department from what i hear, but i don't know enough to comment on it. It's no wonder the graduates from these schools do so well and climb a little faster than the others, it's basically because although the liberal-arts grads catch up during training, the breadth of all that business education probably gives them a tiny advantage when making small everyday decisions, but it soon adds up and probably becomes a big factor if considering its effect over time. Don't forget that i'm not saying liberal arts grads
