In Reply To: If someone here represents themself as the upper tier of sales talent at this company it's time to clean house again. Everyone knows that new accounts are the lifeblood of any business including the paperboy and the kid who mows your lawn or sells lemonade on the corner. Some guy admits he does not open new accounts and just gets business from existing accounts which he ignorantly refers to as "my practice". HE admits he is a lazy slug but justifies this because he is apparently being spoonfed by someone and thereby exceeds his peers' performance. Extrapolating this behavior across the rest of the sales staff provides one possible answer why this company continues to struggle shareprice wise compared to it's peers. Apparently, the axiom of "I got mine, screw you asshole" has supplanted helping the company by putting ALL customers including potential customers first. This is delusional, short sighted and immature. They won't admit to the original poster that they exist by a process that simply cannabilizes existing accounts. The whole thing stinks. The funniest part is that when you hold the mirror up for a guy he calls you a loser not knowing who or what you are while beating his chest. When the ride is over, unfortunately for him, he will find that he doesn't have a "practice" and nobody will hire him. He will find out how difficult it is to take accounts with him. A sale of this firm could not come soon enough!!!
Message: Q: What kind of management would institute policies that don't incent salespeople to be on the phone ALL DAY and value new assets ? A: One that does not understand the f@#%ing business. STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES Forest Gump could fix this company.
