While there may be an entrenched few who are currently doing alright the train ride is almost over.
This is not a place for someone intending to start a career.
Now you say you'll settle for 200k? I don't like what I am hearing. The only reason to do this is if you are confident in your abilities. You are already hedging.
Don't waste anyone's time at any firm or your own if you are not fully committed.
