I wonder why she is so promoted at Schwab.
As is well known, her husband was one of the honchos at Soundview Capital Management --- that Schwab bought and inevitably sold for loss --- sometime while Liz was employed at Schwab's U.S. Trust.
How likely is it, that the Soundview purchase was never mentioned at the Sonders table??
The Soundview purchase was disastrous for Schwab shareholders. I think in any other firm, the management would be embarrassed to be parading around someone from a couple who had involvement in that. (Consider: Liz Ann, as a Sonders, gets to share in the purchase price paid for Soundview by Schwab. But very likely does not share equally in the loss incurred. As a shareholder, that concerns me.)
Having a pretty face pitchwoman is maybe good marketing strategy. I just wonder if the Soundview gains have been given back? |

Having seen your blubbering over and over again on this site I just have to wonder who you are? Did I take an elevator with you or sit near by in the cafeteria? Hard to imagine I would not remember someone gently wiping a tear from their eye as they bemoan the horrible unfairness of their job at the firm.
Which "crony" is it that gets your goat the most? I'd at least like to think you're putting tacks on their chairs or stuffing the shrimp special in their office heat vents just to strike a blow for equality.
You really need to do yourself a favor and take that job at Starbucks. Maybe all that positive attitude in the coffee house will brighten your perspective.
