Hey what a great way to vaporize the abismal performance from 1990 to the present. Sure SCH went up last year but it went up from very low prices. Check out AMTD, ET, GS and the other financials before you slam me and say SCH out performed. Yeah and so did QCOM.

I think it's been underperforming the other online brokers since November (ET, AMTD). That's because it's no longer so much an online broker, as it is a stealth money manager. Where the "cloak" is so well implemented, that even the general investing public doesn't know about it.
ET is up because it did a better job as an internet financial services firm. AMTD is up because it is aggressive and is really riding the resurgence in Nasdaq trading.
SCHW was up because ET and AMTD were up, and some traders figured they were all in the same league.
But SCHW product offerings are comparable to MER GS TROW and LM. I think those are considered in much better shape than SCHW.
