your email focuses more on change WITHIN a direcorate. Moving between directorates is not encouraged, but I have heard it is possible. If the DO invests a lot to train you, they don't want you going anywhere. |

I could see why DO would want to keep you DO. If I'm really interested in "X" and not at all in "Y" (but both are DC based) then is there some point in the process where I get to say, "is it possible that my work focus on X" ?
Again, I'm at the start of this so if the question seems uninformed, I'm guilty as charged.
