I've always thought paramilitary was optional. The course wasn't required to pass the CST program and that it is more of a morale booster. |

i'm not 100% sure, but I think in the past (up until this past year) everyone did several weeks of paramilitary training and then those who would be doing certain assignments, were able to go to real special ops military training for a month or so. now i believe they divide the groups earlier and certain "vanilla" case officers do no PM training, but i'm sure there is the general physical fitness routine in the morning.
