Have you been through agency training? Have you been through any type of physical routine that they have administered? If you haven't, then I don't think you can say a damn thing about what's fair and what isn't. You have no idea how they conduct their training.
Like cm said, you have this habit of comparing the military to this job. It sure as hell isn't the same. There are some similarities in some areas, but overall it is a very different position. Will they task a 110 lb. woman to go evacuate a 250 lb. man from a hot zone in the middle Baghdad.......probably not. Can that same woman run several miles in the desert heat to intercept an agent, probably better than most men can........hell yes. You keep generalizing everything physical as being the same type of superhero activity. How about you just let the guys who have been doing this for quite some time decide who can and cannot do the job.
Furthermore, I don't give a rat's ass about feminism myself but that doesn't mean I cast out women as being weak or not able to measure up to men. If this job wants to hire women to do a task that you, in your very narrow-minded ideologies, think should be reserved for men, then take a minute and think about the fact that they've probably done this before and can do it better than most others.
I see your point here and I know what you're trying to say. The problem is, you have no idea whether or not the same standards are placed on women. My understanding of the field I'm going into is pretty clear on the fact that everyone is held to the same standards....regardless of gender. Once again, this isn't the military. The job doesn't require the massive amount of physical strength that some others do. Leave it alone. |

OK Ms. 007. Again, I never said that women aren't capable of being case officer. I think they can be outstanding spies in some areas. Would you have a woman penetrate a terrorist cell or send a woman to the jungles of Colombia to infiltrate a terrorist organization? Or would you have women in special OPs? I really believe in diversity, I think the agency can be way more of effective if it were more diverse.
