I wonder what the drop-out rate is for people waiting the background check, med/poly, and adjudication. I've thought about dropping and reapplying in a few years, but I just don't want to risk what may be my only good shot. |

there is nothing like this topic to generate some activity on this board! i am also a little frustrated with the wait, to say the least. like they tell everyone, they told me 3-6 months, so i made a point to stay calm and to try to be understanding during that period. now that i am past the six month point, i am going nuts. the thought of dropping out to take a private sector job crossed my mind, but that would not make a lot of sense in the long run. i have spent the past three years focusing on getting this job and right now i am so close. what is a another month of waiting if this leads to a 30-year career? hopefully in hindsight it will all be worth it. not everyone has the chance to come this close to their dream job, so i guess i'll just sit back and enjoy the wait.
