Generally I agree with you. It's all about how much substance you have, which has nothing to do with the school, but that's on the individual level. My only point about some schools atract certain professors/adjunct professors (those still working in the field), and/or "CIA in Residence" professors that all act as conuits to the agency whether it be direct recommendations or simply career advice. I'm not at an "ivy league" school but I am at one that attracts a sizable contingent of current or former agency folks, and that is the advantage IMO of certain schools vs. others.
Having said all that, it is true that it all depends on what you do with it when you are in these study programs. |

Some schools do give you the advantage of getting hired because of the personnel connections with the Agency.
