This same reporter (John Crewdson) wrote another article the day before this one specifically discussing how easy it was to determine that Valerie Plame Wilson was in fact a CIA officer using the Internet.
Those cynics among us might assume this first article is essentially making the argument that Plame's cover wasn't "deep enough," so maybe leaking her name wasn't such a big deal ...
