I have been told that the 45 day mark wasn't the 'average call back time', but more so 'if we haven't called you by then, we're not interested' mark. I've heard that if they're really interested, you should hear back within two weeks.
I am personally reaching the 45 day mark, but have been in touch with a recruiter who is trying to set up an interview with a specific office for me. |

Mine was about 2 weeks, but I think that was absurdly quick.
I got lucky and jumped in right before an interview "blitz" in my area.
So it's probably not a good example, but that's what happened to me.
