In Reply To: Note that Question 23A on SF-86 asks whether you have EVER been charged or convicted of a felony. There is no age limit, nor is there a 7 or 10 year lookback limit. Ever means ever. If not answered honestly, and it comes out during poly, you're dead meat.
Message: follows after 23A on the SF-86 I believe, which also asks whether you have ever been ARRESTED, regardless of the fact that you may never have been charged, or the records have been expunged. If you've ever done anything, you need to be upfront about it. Regarding when to tell them about it, cm492 said yesterday that it's best to disclose it on the SF-86, NOT during interviews since the interviewers don't care about it because the security dept. is completely seperate. I tend to agree with that IF the recruiters are going to go to bat for you, but are there any other oponions on that?
