Message: As you all can see, there is a tremendous amount of anxiety and uncertainty regarding the hiring here. It's my personal opinion that all this pent-up stress and anticipation translates into troublesome peformance in the polygraph, because you have so much invested in passage. This means that you can have keyed up responses to things just because you are do damn excited to be there, and realizing so many months of worry and effort are at stake. If you can adopt and maintain, at least for the poly, the mental state that detachs the exam from all the waiting, all the prospect, all the pressure, I think you will have greater chances of passing. If you are convinced that everything is on the line, you may choke. If it's just a walk in the park, then maybe it will be a cake walk.
