I'm not sleepyjean, but I can tell you that Korean is in the highest level according to recruiters, and Japanese I'm not 100% since I've read that it's in the highets or at least no less than one level or so below highest.
In terms of those two languages, the grammar is practically identical so it's fairly staightforward to learn one (verbally) if you have the other. |

I'm pretty sure I've seen a chart that ranks both at the highest level of difficulty (for native English speakers to learn).
At any rate--logically, if Korean is ranked as the highest, the Japanese must be as well. As sleepyjean said, the grammar is very similar, and Japanese has the added diffulty of Sino-Japanese characters.
