I was hired as a GS-E (engineering scale) 9, step 9--I'm fresh from undergrad, in case you were wondering. The salary is ~69k.
I also couldn't find the appropriate pay scale on the OPM website that corresponded to my COE. Like someone said earlier, the published engineering scales don't take into account locality pay.
But in case anyone is wondering, a new engineering bachelors graduate with no experience (like me) will likely get the same sort of offer I received. |

for the general (non-eng) GS scales there are tables pertaining to/including locality pay, but perhaps you have to somehow add that. I didn't look extensively for an equivalent engineering one like that.
