appreciate it, i'm a little nervous, I think you are right about them putting some twists in there, so far I've noticed some slang words that arent in the dictionary that require familiarity with the culture. They said I could use any source except another person, do you think they would prefe me to use as few resources as possible? |

I'm sure thier ideal is a completely dual-native speaking, grew up equally in both countries, type of ability, but that's hard to come by right, so something approaching that is my guess.
If they told you that you can use any source, except persons, I would do that. If you're at your future agency office, I'm sure they have resouces galore. I have no specific idea but from my experience of being abroad in translating type environments they probably have several "twists" and nuances in there, and see how many of them you can catch. You can only do your best right? Probably they just want to see your aptitude because we all know they have extensive language training once you get in right?
Any language officer applicants that can shed some light on this board?
