Has anyone (who is interested in a language position) recieved a packet with a passage in your second language and had to translate it into English? I'm working on it now, and I'm just curious what they will be looking for in my interpretation |

I would guess they are looking for a clean translation that picks up any nuances. I imagine they plant some things in there that need some king of local knowledge instead of translating the literal meaning? I can't imagine them giving something that doesn't contain a few twists and turns in it. Good luck!
