This was compiled by a group of excellent, diligent posters a couple of months ago: DI process is: 1.Online application 2.Interview (phone or person) 3.Writing samples 4.Online writing test 5.COE and SI-86 6.3 day clearance process (poly, testing, and possible office visit) 7.then BI and adjudification. 8.yah or nay DO process is: 1.Online application 2.Phone Interview 3.Packet with writing sample and Questions 4. info session and 1 on 1 5. 3 day interviews (This includes academic testing another 1 on 1 and a meeting with psych) 5.COE and SF-86 6.3 day clearance process 7. BI and Adjudification 8.yah or nay DO has two 3 day sessions and is a longer process overall. Average timeframe 1.5 years, delays between steps vary.
Message: I keep hearing about this phone interview or in-person interview. I never had it. My DI path has looked like: 1.Online application 2.Writing samples 3.Online writing test 4.Blitz interview (still waiting to hear about this) I wonder what that means, and why I did the online writing test before an interview. Hopefully that means I'm more likely to get the job than I expected.
