As I'm getting closer to my EOD, I seem to be forgetting more and more info from my interview and office visit. Just wanted a sanity check ... can any other DI candidates share what they were told about the training for newly hired analysts?
Here's what I seem to remember:
(1) Training is about 3 (maybe 4) months, the majority of that at the Sherman Kent School for Intelligence Analysis at "CIA University." (A list of various DI-themed papers produced by the school can be found at http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/Kent_Papers/index.html, if you're interested).
(2) Training does NOT start immediately upon hiring ... you may be working in your assigned section for a few months before you get trained.
(3) During training, you have the opportunity to go overseas for a few weeks. My prospective boss also mentioned the opportunity to visit or work at a major military command like U.S. Central Command (Tampa) or U.S. Pacific Command (Pearl Harbor). Not sure if you do both or either/or.
That's about all I can remember. There doesn't seem to be too much on the internet about the school, since it was only founded in 2000. Does anyone have any further details?

I work for another gov department in DC, and we had a brand new CIA analyst there with us for 6 weeks on one of his "internship" rotations.
I believe he was a science, technology, and weapons analyst.
