Message: I was curious how things work with DI folk and foreign nationals. Obviously, a relationship with a foreign national would be difficult, even for somebody in the DI, but I was wondering how often analysts get involved (not through work) with foreign nationals. For instance, my investigator was former FBI and army intel, but he mentioned that his wife was Finnish. I'm not sure when he married relative to his clearances, but with the overseas experiences that many analysts (at least) seem to have, one would imagine that relationships with non-US citizens is not entirely uncommon.
