In Reply To: Is it realistic for someone in a long-term relationship to enter the NCS or DI? I'm assuming DI would be easier in that regard, but I'm really more interested in the NCS. For example, if a NCS officer is forced to move around the world every couple years, how can their spouse maintain their own career? And does training at the Farm mean months of no contact with your spouse? Until you get settled somewhere (which could take a few years), it seems like the NCS is incompatible with a serious relationship. Are there positions in NCS that would be better than others in that respect (maybe SOO, or something else Washington-based)?
Message: It sounds like DI would be no problem at all to bring a spouse/girlfriend along, and NCS would be impossible.
