I'm sure it's taking them a little longer now (from this board I can tell the whole process is taking longer now--must be even more backlogged than when I went through it), but I did my DO 3-day in late May and received my COE in the mail about 10 days later (maybe two weeks max). I returned the paperwork about a week later then put my process on hold while I left the country for a couple of months. |

It seems like right now the average wait is a little longer than it used to be, but every now and then someone still gets through as quickly as you did. I guess there's no real rhyme or reason to it all, just the priorities of the HR staff and how attractive you look on paper. Of course, it seems like some days just depend on how quickly they get to work and find the list of people. Welcome to Uncle Sam's house! The military is the same way.
I feel for those who are trying to do this right out of college and aren't working anywhere else in the mean time. Very lengthy process indeed.
