I'm not sure about the mandatory period - sorry. However, I'm interested to hear more about what you seemed to be saying: that the process for getting into the DI is less stringent than the DO (whether that be for ops officer or other)?
I would think the security clearance TS/SCI is the same, but I'm more referring to the interview process. |

as a DI applicant who has familiarity with the DO process is this: much more attention is paid to personality and to mindset for those who go DO, and this includes the scrutiny imposed during the pysch and polygraph. In addition, the DI interview was a typical job interview, while the DO sounds as if it is more of an examination/presentation.
