I've heard not many women apply for DO...anybody have an idea how many female OOs there are? I've read Lindsay Moran's book and didn't get the impression she was treated like anything but an equal to the men. After all the hubub and lawsuits from the 90s I wasn't sure what the story was now. Thoughts? |

Well, frankly speaking, the DO is no place for women. The DO training is strenuous and very tough. Most woman would collapse under the pressure.
However, it's good to have like 20% woman in the DO because certain overseas operations require them.
