In Reply To: I've spent considerable time abroad too, and believe they do look at that as an asset. However, n terms of the TS/SCI clearance process, they do say they prefer you to have been in (returned to) the US for a majority fo the last seven years so that they can do the BI. I understand it, but at the same time they want people with overseas expeience and it takes longer to do the BI. Like you say visitor99, it'll be worth it in the long run. I was told however that this timeline is flexible and it really depends on WHERE you were and what you were doing.
Message: When I met with the recruiter and the person who interviewed me, they both told me that my foreign experience was a good thing to have and that it would be an asset to the agency. The process takes much longer and I can tell you that from my personal experience.
