In Reply To: I'm dual UK/US and the recruiter specifically told me that CIA does not make people give it up and agreed that it would be an asset. However, I do agree that you have to get past the 'foreign influence' bias in the security clearance process. What I'm saying is that CIA doesn't seem to automatically ask you to revoke. Some DoD agencies do though. You have to be willing to give it up though - that is critical in the clearance process.
Message: It really depends on the country. As for allies, some are more equal than others. The UK, and any of the English-speaking countries with whom we collect and share intelligence jointly, should be fine. Israel, while an ally, does run ops against us, so there will be scrutiny. If you are French, well, do I have to say anything more?
