In Reply To: hey all, just starting the application process here. and here i was, excited that i had even received the recruitr package. it seems a lot of you are way past me :) congrats! so, i am only on the second stage of the process with the initial application package - you know, the one that asks for the transcripts, resume, and the questions like "describe yourself," and "what was your favorite class?" ; and the 500 word essay on a "major international event." any advice about how to tackle this one? what kind of language to use, etc.? did you guys go into much detail, or did you keep it short, answering only what was asked? what should i expect from here out?
Message: First of all, take the CIA quizzes and see where you stand. Second, write about yourself conversationally. As for the world event, write as you would for a quality newspaper. And make sure you proofread things.
