Does anyone have a general sense about how stringent the medical requirements are for the DO? Is it like enlisting in the military, or are people with minor, non-critical conditions accepted?
I'm especially curious to hear from people applying for the DO who have passed the medical screening already--what did you have, and was it at all an issue?

There is a weight requirment, too. I do not know about vision. I have heard about one officer who had lost an arm. I do not know whether he had done so before or after joining.
