..for all intents and purposes- arabic is a language that once you learn the modern standardized written language, you must then choose a colloquial dialect which will only work in that specific region. Farsi on the other covers the whole western half of Iran and as far as further economic trends predict, seems to be the more logical choice. Which would you choose to learn (if only one) ?
