Day 1 - Application submitted online (DI)
Day 40 - Email requesting cover letter, writing samples, transcripts, evaluation form
Day 100 - Submission of all Day 40 items complete
Between Day 100 and Day 120 - Online writing exercise
Day 120 - Email inviting to interview with hiring manager
Day 140 - Meeting with hiring manager
Day 185 - COE Extended.
Hope that gives some idea...now, it took me some time to wrangle all my stuff together, so it might go faster for you. Bottom line is this: Apply and be prepared to wait for a worthwhile purpose. |

Here is my timeline. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated!
Day 1: Application submitted online (DI).
Day 81: E-mail requesting evaluation form, transcripts and writing sample. Requested material faxed.
Day 100: Information session for invited applicants.
Day 101: Division interview with hiring managers.
Day 109: Online writing exercise completed.
Day 122: COE extended.
Day 123: SF-86 forms completed and submitted.
Day 198: Polygraph and related exams.
Day 199: Mental health screening.
Day 200: Office visit to Langley.
Day 219: Met with DOD investigator regarding background investigation.
Day 240: Background investigation complete. Application forwarded to Adjudication.
Day 240+: ...still waiting...
