In Reply To: The time between sending in a r??sum?? and appearing at a recruiting "blitz" is from one to three months, depending on the scheduling of the field interviews. The lapse between the field interview and a conditional offer of employment (following the Washington interview and the PAT-B) is approximately two months. From the blitz to entry on duty is usually from six to nine months depending on the security clearance process and the scheduling of orientation/training courses. New hires are brought on two or three times a year. For the Clandestine Service about two percent of those submitting r??sum??s are hired.
Message: 2 % of those applying for the Clandestine Service are hired?? I've heard that currently it's more like 1 out of 3,000ish applicants who makes it into the clandestine service. Also, the CIA is currently getting about 3,000 resumes per week.
