I was offered a position as GSE 9, Step 9 (this is a special engineering GS scale).
This comes out to around 67k. I didn't negotiate this salary simply because it's really competitve for an entry-level undergraduate engineer, as I am.
I have heard of people negotiating their offer(and getting more), so don't feel like you're screwing yourself over if you negotiate. |

When I received the call, I was so excited I did not hear, nor did I care what the salary was. In fact, I remember stating "Hey I am not in this for the money". However, when I received my COE in the mail, I was offered a GS 10 step 3...I am pleased. Really, they could of offered me GS 7 step 7...
