In Reply To: COE = Conditional Offer of Employment. The COE comes after the interviews and assessments and is conditional on passing suitability requirements and obtaining a security clearance. As far as jobs for older applicants, when I went in for my poly and med assessments, there were a good number of applicants who appeared to at least be in their forties, with others who appeared to be in their thirties or late-twenties. So I assume there are good opportunities for "older" applicants. And as far as young applicants like me, we're cheap, so maybe that's the reason they hire us. And with respect to The Economist question, not sure what to say about that...I like the magazine.
Message: Back on December 8th, when I first stumbled onto this site, two authors were berating a newscaster for asking 'where is bin laden'. So, I tagged the two maderators. Please everyone, google your username-if you show up in your own search-then, for goodness sake change your username, ie. spynavy, Sir, you are so tagged I applied for your specific job, partly because I want to work for you, but now I find I am probably too old. If dummy me can tag half the authors on this site, I'm sure half the world knows you too. I'm not so brilliant to think up this original idea. And as a footnote, j_campbell, I may be so wrong, but I'm also so right.
